St Cloud, FL – Pedestrian Accident at 13th St and Michigan Ave
St. Cloud, FL (October 8, 2020) – On Tuesday morning, October 6, a pedestrian accident took place at an intersection in St. Cloud.
The crash was reported around 8:04 a.m. at the intersection of 13th Street and Michigan Avenue in the area of Michigan Avenue Elementary School. A crossing guard was on duty at the intersection.
A driver was traveling east and ran through the red light at the intersection, striking the crossing guard. The driver was not injured and remained at the scene to cooperate with the police.
The crossing guard, who has not yet been identified, was taken to Osceola Regional Medical Center for treatment. She is expected to survive.
The intersection was closed down in the area for an extended period of time until the police were able to clear the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
